Federal Returning Nationals Secretariat guidance
- Eligibility
- The published baseline is a St. Kitts & Nevis national aged 18 or over, with at least 10 continuous years abroad, returning permanently. Special cases have separate criteria.
- Goods and concessions
- Selected personal and household effects may qualify. One vehicle per family is subject to ownership and document conditions. The Secretariat's programme excludes building materials; separate assistance may be sought from Finance.
- Charges and timing
- Vehicle Customs Service Charge and Environmental Levy still apply. Confirm other charges, import windows, and approval conditions with the Secretariat before shipping.

Returning to Nevis
Nevis Island Administration's expanded policy
- Eligibility
- A broader returning-national and diaspora policy covers eligible nationals, people with ancestral roots, and diaspora members returning or investing. Confirm your category with the Ministry of Finance.
- Goods and concessions
- Approved concessions may cover used personal belongings, vehicles, furniture, construction materials, and qualifying new-business imports.
- Charges and approval
- Except for qualifying used personal items, VAT, Customs Service Charge, and applicable Environmental Levy remain payable. Apply to the Nevis Ministry of Finance with its prescribed form and supporting documents.
